In January we were joined by Rosie Cardale, pelvic health physiotherapist who delivered insightful information on pelvic health and how we can ensure strength is addressed in this area. ♀️
With practical exercises, breath work and Q&A, we were able to understand how to recruit the right muscles and what might be happening with the rest of the core if struggling to do so. 🧘🏻♀️
We learnt to slowly build up our tolerance with impact exercise if problems are present with eg. jumping, plyometric exercises, running or any form of impact work (an important part of our training that keeps our bones strong🦴).
In addition we learnt how to release pelvic floor tension and have been doing our homework with the stretches demonstrated. 📄
We're pleased to hear heavy resistance training plays a key part in pelvic floor strength so we'll keep doing what we're doing along with the valuable extras provided. 🏋🏼♀️
